“Our wine is about differences and a slice of life. We offer a 100% single vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a microclimate taste of the Spring Mountain Appellation.
Frias Family Vineyards was founded with their first official vintage in 1991. They purchased 100 acres in 1977 and planted only 5 acres in 1985. The family focuses only on producing the finest estate grown Cabernet.  The operation is small and family owned. The whole family  helps carry out this labor of love by participating in nurturing the vines, blending, bottling and of course quality control!

This Week we are very proud to welcome one of Piazza Market’s favorite wine makers Kristof Anderson from the famed Gargiulo Vineyards.

March 19, 2010 - Leave a Response

Kristof Anderson has been with GV since 2003. He favors a gentle and patient winemaking approach, 90% of which happens before the grapes ever leave the vine. This includes hand harvesting at dawn to ensure pristine cluster condition upon arrival at the winery; hand sorting at three different stages and taking advantage of the state of the art gravity flow winery.  Incredibly, Kristof separately ferments as many as 40 individual vineyard blocks each vintage all in small French oak barrels. This extensive array of fermentations offers him more components to compose the final blend.  The final blend will always be the one that most vividly expresses GV’s distinct vineyards during a single harvest season.
